Throw back time! Here’s one from 2007. I love this video. It’s the very first CrossFit video I ever saw. I was just a young trainer at a Globo Gym trying to find new ways to get fitter and decided to look up pull ups on You Tube. I went through a couple of other clips and finally came by this one. I had heard the term CrossFit used before (mostly by haters) and needed to see it myself. I was blown away. This guy (Rob Miller) could do some serious pull ups! I watched as he cracked out rep after rep. I saw weighted pull ups, strict pull ups and a weird kind of swinging pull up I’d never seen before.
Now, I’ve had the opportunity to do this very same workout in the last year or so. It is brutally fun and in the video he’s smiling the whole time. Even way back in 2007 he bested my time. I found out later he may have been a professional rock climber… I’d like to think that may have had something to do with it.
