In case you’ve been living under a rock you’re well aware that the 2016 Olympics are currently well under way. This is always an exciting time as the best athletes in the world compete in their respective sports to find out who really is the best out there.
If you’re experience is anything like mine while the Olympics are going on now, you’re marveling what these men and women are capable of. And, if your experience is anything like mine, you have a much greater appreciation for just how amazing they are since we play around with some of these things in the gym.
I know that for me, watching gymnastics didn’t used to be very enjoyable. They all make everything look so easy that it was almost boring. Now though, I can appreciate how hard it is to hold that handstand and do that flip and lock in that position because I’ve personally tried and failed miserably to do so.
The same goes for the weightlifting competition. Watching the speed, power and explosiveness of those top athletes is unbelievably impressive.
I hope you get a chance to sit down and soak it all in at some point.
